For this you will need the following supplies; Shaving foam, Pot, Paint brush or similar, Card stock cut to size (can use glossy if you prefer), Scarper (i used an old member club card) and any inks of your choice.
I also used a piece of kitchen towel (sorry not in the picture).
Take the dish/pot you have chosen and half fill the dish with foam.
Take you paint brush handle and flatten it out the best you can.
Now add a few small drops of your chosen ink and colours. Here I have used Alcohol inks (stream & wild plum). But you can try any inks you wish. (I have used Pergamano inks aswell in the past).
Take your paintbrush handle and gentle mix the ink into a swirl,
but don't over do it mix.
Next take you card stock and place into the foam and lift up and out at the same time.
Turn you card around until all of the surface it covered in foam.
This is what it should look like (a bit of a mess but don't worry!)
Take your scraper and scrape of the excess foam and put it back into the dish/pot. Rub over the surface of the card stock to make sure all the foam has gone.
This is what it should look like, a pretty bright swirls.
You can do more than one in a batch of shaving foam,
the more you do, the lighter they become.
This was the 2nd one from this batch.
You can add more colour if you would like (here I added butterscotch)
but eventually they will all mix into one colour.
If you are going to try this please can you let me know how you find my instructions!
For the background on all 3 I used marvymetallics gold and bronze. I used black stazon with some Paris themed stamps and used holographic embossing powder to cover the front of the domino and the moo card. Hope you like it Kaz!
Silver wedding candle to go with the card below. I used the same swirl stamps I used for the card and added the champagne bottle & glasses along with the greeting. The back has got who the candle is from so when they come to look at the candle in a few years time they will remember who gave them it!!!!
For the parcel I decided to use my quickkutz die cut machine which I havent used in a long time! A swirl stamp and silver embossing powder used with versamark. Greeting stamp again used embossing powder and versamark ink. The champagne bottle is vellum which I attached using silver mat brads. To finish I added some white/clear little gems and added the number 25 to the parcel. The inside I cut out a heart and edged with a silver pen and placed the same vellum i used for the front and put behind the aperture and used a different swirl stamp with versamark ink and silver embossing.
This is the first time I have used alcohol inks, I used wild plum, stream ink and silver mixative with blending solution. For the swirl I used a swirl stamp and veramark ink with silver embossing powder.
This is from the top of blank cds/dvds, I thought I would have ago an alter one and see what it looks like. I used marvymetallics pen copper and gold and black stazon, and a set of trees and leaves stamps.
