Pink castle

This card is for my friends daughter who turned 5 yesterday. She loves pink, fairy's and castles, so this was hopefully the perfect card for her. I have used some glitter on the front on the castle and the background paper and inside I used it again for the swirls from the fairy's wand!

Niagara Falls

Water is the theme on craftaway a sunday, so I decided I would try a scrapbook page for the 1st time so here it is. I have used a swirl stamp using versamark ink on the background but the photo doesn't show it. This memories mean a lot to me as I went to Canada on my own & with out knowing anybody when I got there. I'm quite a shy person and to me this was some achievement.

Christening Card

This is a quick and simple card to make (After I made my own backing paper with the word christening over and over again) printed onto vellum in grey. I used gold peels off the the message and I used stamps for the hands and embossed them in gold.

Birthday card

A bit of decoupage for this one and some peel offs. (I know not all crafters like peel offs but I think sometimes they can finish the card off, they are useful for quick and easy cards too!)

Fairy Atc and Forest Box

The idea behind this is that fairies live in the forest and this is what I came up with for a circle of friends for August for Audrey.
You cant see it on the pictures but I used Sakura silver stardust pen with water so all the panels are sparkly (like fairy dust! if you believe that is lol!!!!!)
I hope you like it Audrey!

Exploding box - for a baby girl

As you can see this is for a baby girl.
I have used some baby stamps and pink card stock and embellished each square with some kind of baby themed stamp. I have coloured them in using whisper strokes pens.
The lid have used tea bagged folded papers and a pink teddy button for the center and I used shrink plastic for the dangling bits with some silver thread and pink and white beads.
For the top layer I decided to leave space for all the details, Name, date, weight and time.
To finish inside the box I was kindly given a template for the shoe and the idea to put the shoe in the middle from Fran.

Shaving Foam background technique

For this you will need the following supplies; Shaving foam, Pot, Paint brush or similar, Card stock cut to size (can use glossy if you prefer), Scarper (i used an old member club card) and any inks of your choice.
I also used a piece of kitchen towel (sorry not in the picture).

Take the dish/pot you have chosen and half fill the dish with foam.
Take you paint brush handle and flatten it out the best you can.

Now add a few small drops of your chosen ink and colours. Here I have used Alcohol inks (stream & wild plum). But you can try any inks you wish. (I have used Pergamano inks aswell in the past).

Take your paintbrush handle and gentle mix the ink into a swirl,
but don't over do it mix.

Next take you card stock and place into the foam and lift up and out at the same time.
Turn you card around until all of the surface it covered in foam.

This is what it should look like (a bit of a mess but don't worry!)
Take your scraper and scrape of the excess foam and put it back into the dish/pot.
Rub over the surface of the card stock to make sure all the foam has gone.

This is what it should look like, a pretty bright swirls.

You can do more than one in a batch of shaving foam,
the more you do, the lighter they become.
This was the 2nd one from this batch.

You can add more colour if you would like (here I added butterscotch)
but eventually they will all mix into one colour.
If you are going to try this please can you let me know how you find my instructions!
Thank you.
Have fun!
